HELLO AGAIN FRIENDS!

EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENTS

We could not be happier to share the news that our favoritest girl DAISY has finally found her perfect match. As one of the FIRST dogs to come under the wing of Real Time Rescue, this adoption is big. And considering Daisy has been up for adoption since 2016, to say this lady was overdue for a home of her own would be an understatement! Her dedicated team of supporters has been hard at work for FOUR YEARS and never stopped believing there was a family out there waiting for her. We are thrilled she has landed with folks who love her for the sassy senior she is.

Unsurprisingly, CHER found a new home of her own in no time at all! We love a foster fail and knew this little queen would be working her magic on these two from the very start.

More good news! ICE CREAM is off on a sweet new adventure with her adoptive Mama! To think this girl was passed up at the shelter for MONTHS due to a completely treatable infection?! Lucky for her, she landed with someone who will love her like the delicious treat we at Real Time have come to know her as!

ROXY UPDATE!

We put out an urgent plea last month for help with finding this american bulldog babe a FOSTER and are happy to say that she has scored a temporary landing with the most awesome Mama.

We continue the search for her FUREVER HOME, but know at least for now she has the support of a dedicated human and can enjoy all the comfort that every dog deserves. Thank you for your help sharing her story!

WELCOME MOOSE & JOSIE!

MOOSE has led a heartbreakingly neglected 10 years of life so far, BUT NOT ANYMORE! After negotiating his surrender from an owner who kept him outdoors on a short, easily tangled chain 24/7 we were able to bring him in to be fully vetted by Anaheim Animal Care, including a dental for this former rock eater. While we search for a foster family, he will be treated like a KING, lounging in luxury at an indoor boarding facility with regularly scheduled playtime!

JOSIE is the newest bully to our crew! This young lady is a 4yr old English Bulldog recently rescued from a backyard breeding situation. Since her breeder no longer had any use for her and was looking to give her up, some folks took her in and were soon overwhelmed by the care she needed. RTR stepped in to give her a new chance at life including vet care and placement in a new foster home. Until now, Josie has lived outside cranking out puppies her whole life, but all of that is about to change!

WORD ON THE STREET - TEAM WORK

ONE OF REAL TIME RESCUE’S BIGGEST GOALS IS TO KEEP ANIMALS IN THEIR HOMES, WITH THEIR FAMILIES & OUT OF THE SHELTER BY PROVIDING RESOURCES DIRECTLY TO THOSE IN NEED by way of our Word on the Street (WOTS) program.

This program would not be possible without our AMAZING team of volunteers and community leaders who go out into our local communities ready to lend a hand. Foster Coordinator Amy & Board VP Summer pictured here are just two of the MANY folks who pitched in this month to do more for our unhoused neighbors than ever before.

In July, we were able to provide not only MUCH NEEDED supplies like dog food, flea meds, bowls, collars and leashes to those in need, but also LIFE SAVING VET CARE!

MEET D.O.G. While handing out supplies to those living in Skid Row with one of our fav orgs, Brown Bag Lady. It was clear from his hugely enflamed testicles and multiple masses that he needed to be seen by a vet and neutered ASAP, but once we heard our vet say his life was in imminent danger we had to move quickly.

Real Time Rescue raised $2000 for the vet care he required in JUST 72hrs and couldn’t be more thankful to all who donated their time and resources to save this boy’s life and return him happier and healthier to his LOVING MAMA! Want to see their reunion? YOU KNOW YOU DO! CLICK HERE
